Koreans are a very proud nation who love the celebration of their culture and heritage. Festivals in Korea are constant-we often thought that if we wanted to, we could attend one every weekend somewhere in the country. The festivals are generally aimed around nature (Flowers, Mountains), produce (Fruit, nuts), natural resources (Seafood) and History.
Attending these festivals is a great way get to know the culture that you find yourself in, not to mention a good excuse to mingle with the locals. We attended many of these festivals, enjoying each one on their own merits.
These included: The Beakje Festival; The Strawberry Festival; The Cherry Blossom Festival, The Military Festival and The Lotus Flower festival to name a few.
